Pink Gene Foundation
The Pink Gene Foundation’s mission surrounds helping young woman afford the costs associated with genetic testing to discover hereditary breast cancer. This preventive measure aids women who are potentially at high risk. Education and awareness lie at the backbone of this organization. Tera Martin, a current breast cancer fighter, developed the Pink Gene Foundation. Tara was diagnosed with stage 3B breast cancer at age 28. Read more about the Pink Gene Foundation

Bald & Beautiful Soiree
On December 4th, 2014, the Suite Restaurant and Lounge held the Pink Gene Foundation’s 2nd Annual Bald & Beautiful Soiree in Bellevue, Washington. This fundraiser was in honor of founder Tera Martin and Sophia Simpson-Verger who are battling stage 3 breast cancer. Local businesses and families came together to put on this extravagant event with a pink carpet entrance, shopping for a cause, silent auction, raffle, performances and more.
In addition to spreading awareness, the proceeds from this event were donated to a breast cancer research lab at the Fred Hutchinson Research Institute. The Bald & Beautiful Soiree was very successful in raising over $20,000.
